Benji Schwimmer is "The Candyman" in Christina Aguilera's new music video

"Candyman" Music Video

On Thursday, February 22nd at 4:00 PM on MTV's "TRL" show, Benji Schwimmer was highlighted in Christina Aguilera's new music video, "Candyman".  Benji IS "The Candyman".

Benji dances Swing with Christina during the course of the video. He flips her, dips her and gets patted on his butt by her.  There's whirling and twirling and kinetic energy all over the place.  It's an awesome production.

The video was primarily shot in an old aircraft hangar with WWII vintage planes and a cast outfitted in corresponding garb.  Another scene is set on a small performing stage and a third scene is set in a 1940s-style sweet shop.

Christina actually plays THREE roles in the video - a blonde, a redhead and a brunette.  The video was shot three times with her dancing with three different hair colors - and then all three images were synchronized and superimposed into the stage scene to create a look reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters.  The effect is fabulous.

The video is rich with color and choreography - and scores of sailors and soldiers as the supporting cast. In addition to Benji, there are three other Swing dancers who landed roles in the video - his sister, Lacey Schwimmer, Sara Breck and Melissa Rutz.  Here's a photo storyboard of the video (download below).
